Login Restrictions

Login Restrictions are designed to reduce or prevent malicious users from accessing systems or accounts through password guessing or brute-force attacks. By configuring login restrictions, you can limit the number of login attempts within a certain period, preventing temporary account lockouts.

Steps

1. Log in to the Application

  • Sign in to the application using your account credentials.

2. Access Security Settings

  • Click on "AngusGM."
  • Select "System," then click on "Security Settings."

3. Configure Login Restrictions

  • In the "Login Restrictions" panel, set the allowed number of login attempts and the account lockout duration.

Notes

  • It is recommended to set the number of allowed password errors to more than 3 to minimize frequent lockouts due to accidental mistakes.
  • It is advisable to set the account lockout duration to no more than 2 hours to avoid frequent unlock requests for administrators.
