Setting Default Roles

Default Role Assignment automatically allocates predefined permission roles to new users, enabling automated permission configuration during user creation.

Default Role Overview

The system provides two types of basic role templates:

Step-by-Step Guide

Method 1: Set During User Creation/Editing

  1. Navigate to AngusGM → Organization & Users → Users
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Create User: Click "New User"
    • Modify Role: Click the target user's name → Click "Edit"
  3. In the identity settings section:
    • Locate the "System Role" field
    • Select the target role from the dropdown menu
  4. Click "Save" to complete the setup

Method 2: Quick Setup in User List

  1. Locate the target user in the user list page
  2. Click the "···" action menu on the right side of the row
  3. Select a quick action option:
    • "Set as Standard User"
    • "Set as System Administrator"

Effective Rules

  • New Users: Default roles are automatically applied
  • Existing Users: Role changes take effect immediately
  • Permission Inheritance: User's actual permissions = Default role + Additional permissions

Important Notes

⚠️ Permission Requirements:

  • Only Organization Administrators or higher roles can modify system roles
  • Standard users cannot elevate themselves to administrators
